Who Needs A Noise Test?
Any company exposing workers to loud noise during work. This testing will enable employers to recognize where hearing protection is required by OSHA and recommend hearing protection in your workplace.
Noise is a problem if workers...
• When leaving work hear ringing or humming in your ears.
• Have to shout to be heard by a coworker an arm's length away.
• Experience temporary hearing loss when leaving work.
Why is this important?
OSHA requires employers to implement a hearing conservation program when noise exposure is at or above 85 decibels averaged over 8 working hours, or an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA).
A hearing conservation program is designed to prevent initial occupational hearing loss, preserve and protect remaining hearing, and equip workers with the knowledge and hearing protection devices necessary to safeguard themselves.
We help manufacturers and facilities to be OSHA compliant when it comes to hearing protection at work by testing the noise levels across your facility.
Most importantly, exposure to high levels of noise can cause permanent hearing loss which hearing aids nor surgery is not able to fix.
Make sure your facility meets OSHA’s occupational noise exposure standards. This test will alert you to any areas where employees should utilize hearing protection equipment.
Don't stand for this in your workplace!
